Denmark Vs Finland.....UEFA EURO 2021

Finland beat Denmark at Euro 2020 after Eriksen's collapse

We thought of many headlines, but that seems the only appropriate...What the Football lovers across the world yesterday was almost a horror movie. Erikson collapsed on the match while playing and the game had had to be stopped to provide him all necessary medical aids, and due to proper medical attention given in proper time Eriksen according to the latest news we have is in stable conditions...Hffff... let's have a sigh of relief.

Though the scoreline says & will be in favour of Finland, but this match will be remembered for another picture...and that is why we love football...

Yes, these are the essence of life named Football....

Finland beat Denmark 1-0 in their first major tournament game, but the Euro 2020 match will be remembered for Christian Eriksen, who is now in a stable condition after collapsing on the pitch.

Denmark and Inter Milan midfielder Eriksen is in a stable condition in hospital, the Danish FA said, after he dropped to the ground at the Parken Stadium shortly before half-time of the Group B fixture, leaving players from both teams in clear distress.

English referee Anthony Taylor immediately called medics on to the pitch and Eriksen underwent prolonged treatment with compressions performed on the chest of the Inter Milan player before he was taken to hospital.

The game was suspended for about 90 minutes after Eriksen needed urgent medical treatment near the end of the first half before being taken to a hospital.

The Danish Football Association later provided an update on the 29-year-old's condition and revealed the match would be completed on Saturday night, as requested by both sets of players.

Finland, appearing in their first major international tournament, scored against the run of play with their first attempt on goal on the hour mark. Jere Uronen's left-wing cross was headed home by Joel Pohjanpalo from eight yards out, slipping through the grasp of Kasper Schmeichel. Pohjanpalo put Finland ahead against the run of play in the 60th minute when he rose above Joakim Maehle to head home a cross from Jere Uronen. Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel got his hands on the ball but couldn’t keep it out.

Denmark were awarded a penalty with 18 minutes remaining as Poulsen went down after a slight clip from Paulus Arajuuri, but Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg struck his spot-kick into the hands of Lukas Hradecky, who guessed correctly.

It was Finland's only effort on goal in the entire game as Denmark dominated throughout and finished with 23 total shots, although only six were on target.

It is the time of the UEFA EURO and we have brought our analysis of the exciting Football event as a usual overview of what is happening & what the rules say...

We have already given a snippet for Group A, in this tab we are going to showcase a spotlight on Group B :

And to start with we are choosing the teams as mentioned on the UEFA site as per the rules.

Denmark :

Past Best Record in UEFA: WInners 1992

Top Scorer in Qualifier : Ceistian Eriksen

Coach: Kasmer Hjumand

Key Player: Christian Eriksen.

One of the best current attacking mid-fielder Eriksen already has more than 100 caps for his country is the key trump card in the Denmark team. Mikkel Damsgaard is also making a name for himself and he is also a key player to watch for in this tournament.

Finland :

Past Best Record in UEFA: N/A

Top Scorer in Qualifier : Teemu Pukki

Coach: Markku Kanerva

Key Player : Teemu Pukki

Teemu is in great form in recent years and his goals have powered Finland to progress in the groups. Also, Fredrik Jensen has been pitching in nicely and their combination of goals would be a sweet adventure for Finland.

Belgium :

Past Best Record in UEFA: Runners-up 1980

Top Scorer in Qualifier : Romelo Lukaku

Coach: Roberto Martinez

Key Player : Kevin De Bruyne

As the 19/30 Euro Champions league midfielder De Bruyne is going through the golden midas touch currently, and if their performance in the recent world-cup would be any hint to show what they can do as a team, then Denmark can obviously the choice of many to lift the cup. And their current standing as Number 1 as a team also have something which they would like to prove.

Russia :

Past Best Record in UEFA: Semis-2008 (WInners 1960, as USSR)

Top Scorer in Qualifier : Artem Dzyuba

Artem is currently the 2nd highest goal-getter for his country & would soon like to touch the pole position. And as seen by many Aleksandr Sobolev who is seen as the successor of Stanislav also started getting goals in national Jersey, so they both can score and show their mantle to prove their worth as a team.
